The Arquivo Central do Sistema de Arquivos da Unicamp (AC/SIARQ) implemented the Archival Document Management System (SIGAD/Unicamp) in September 2015. This system is crucial for managing archival documents across various formats, adhering to the e-ARQ Brasil standards from the Conselho Nacional de Arquivos (CONARQ). The deployment of the Digital Records module within SIGAD/Unicamp in 2020 marked a strategic advancement in the university's digital transformation, leading to a significant increase in the production of digital administrative records. By July 2025, these records represented approximately 93% of all new digital filings. The consolidation of this digital transformation, which encompasses all university departments and units, is evidenced by three key pillars: the exponential growth in users of diverse profiles, including administrative and decision-making areas; the continuous training of over 2,230 users, enhancing their proficiency with the system's features; and the interoperability of SIGAD/Unicamp with approximately 25 institutional systems, facilitated by an API library offering over 50 services. This paper analyzes the trajectory of SIGAD/Unicamp as a catalyst for digital transformation, highlighting the challenges and successes in information governance and archival management within a complex university environment.
