This round-table aims to discuss the pedagogical actions for teaching Portuguese, English and French in the university context.

Mediator: Prof. Dr.Marília Mendes Ferreira

Holds a Phd in Applied Linguistics (Penn State University, USA), Is an associate professor at the Department of Modern Languages, FFLCH-USP. General and the English coordinator of The Academic Letracy Lab (LLAC-USP).

Speakers:

Dr. Carole MacDiarmid (English as additional language) University of Glasgow: Senior Lecturer and English for Academic Purposes Manager for Teacher Development in English for Academic Study at the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

Prof. Dr. Eliane Lousada (French as additional language ) Letras DLM/LLAC: Master and PhD in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP)- PPG-LETRA. Currently a professor at Department of Modern Languages, FFLCH-USP, and at Graduate Program-LETRAS (PPG). Coordinator of The Academic Letracy Lab (LLAC-USP) in Portuguese and French.

Prof. M.A Paola de Souza Mandalá (Portuguese as additional language) – CIL: M.A in Portuguese from Department of Vernacular Languages (DLV/FFLCH-USP) and professor at the Portuguese Department at CIL/FFLCH-USP. Coordinates the development and application of proficiency exams in Portuguese as a Foreign Language for graduate students from different units at USP.
