The 14th International Meeting of Astronomy and Astronautics in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, after July, 2020. Due to the effects of the CORONAVIRUS we are organizing a hybrid edition in the period April 22-23, 2022
The meeting will include special presentations, workshops, exhibitions, astronomy clubs exhibitions, International Competition, Star Party and many activities...
The event in being organized by Louis Cruls Astronomy Club with the support of Explore Scientific, Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project and Astronomy Outreach Network.

On April,2008, we organized the first International Meeting of Astronomy and Astronautics. Since this year we ever organize on April a new edition of the event. In the past events We already had the participation of more than 170 invited from 34 countries!!!

Louis Cruls Astronomy Club is one of the most famous Brazilian Astronomy Clubs.
O Clube de Astronomia Louis Cruls é um dos mais famosos Clubes de Astronomia do Brasil.
Dr Varoujan Gorjian (NASA-JPL) obtained his undergraduate degree in Astronomy at Caltech in 1992 and his Ph.D. at UCLA in 1998. He then went to work at JPL on the Spitzer Space Telescope project and he has been there ever since. His research interests range from supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies to planets orbiting around nearby stars. He is also very involved with education and public outreach and does research with high school science teachers from across the country
Mike Simmons has been an amateur astronomer outreach program organizer for almost 50 years. He is a past president of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society and was co-founder and president of the Mount Wilson Observatory Association, co-chaired the 100 Hours of Astronomy Cornerstone Project for the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) 2009.
Stephen Ramsden is the founder and director of the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project and Sunlit Earth. The Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project was founded in 2008 by Stephen Ramsden of Atlanta, in memory of friend and fellow air traffic controller/veteran Charlie Bates. It has become the world’s highest volume astronomy outreach program, reaching over 250,000 people per year at hundreds of events in 27 countries and counting
Scott Wayne Roberts is the Founder and President of Explore Scientific. He is a designer and marketer of amateur astronomy equipment. Roberts is also a supporter of educational outreach in astronomy and space exploration, and popularizer of amateur astronomy. Since 1980 he has marketed and sold amateur astronomical equipment, as well as produced astronomy-themed events and presentations to a broad audience
Tom Field was a Contributing Editor at Sky & Telescope Magazine from 2011 to 2021. He is the author of the RSpec software (www.rspec-astro.com) which received the S&T “Hot Product” award.. Tom is a popular speaker who has spoken to hundreds of clubs via the web and in-person at conferences around the world.
David Levy is a Canadian amateur astronomer, science writer and discoverer of comets and minor planets, who co-discovered Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9 in 1993, which collided with the planet Jupiter in 1994. Levy's autobiography, "A Nightwatchman's journey: the Road Not Taken" was published in June 2019 by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
Pierre Paquette has been an amateur astronomer for more than 35 years. He has been secretary (1990–1992) and president (1993–1994) of the Centre francophone de Montréal of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, board member of the Fédération des astronomes amateurs du Québec (1993–1994, then 2010–2014), and vice-president of the Club des astronomes amateurs de Laval (2014). Suresh Bhattarai is a founder and current chairperson of Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO). He is a manager of newly established IAU OAE Node for Nepal, hosted by NASO since July 2020 for regional/global activities in astronomy education. He is also IAU National Outreach Coordinator (NOC) and IAU National Astronomy Education Coordinator (NAEC) for Nepal respectively. Tunç Tezel is a leading amateur astronomer and night sky photographer living in Turkey. After many years in photography, he still favours taking wide-angle photos of the night sky with foregrounds of nature. Tezel in 2006 completed the first ever Analemma photograph that included a total Solar eclipse. This unique feat brought worldwide acclaim and publication of his photographs. Tezel's other specialty is capturing rare conjunctions and occultations of bright stars, planets and bright clusters near the Moon.
Mbonteh Ndunge lives in Cameroon and is a science tutor and a motivational speaker. He has BSc(Hons) in physics and renewable energy in 2018, currently an MSc student in Theoretical Physics and he holds many international positions like the International Space Station Ambassador for Cameroon, the president of TAFFD'S for Cameroon, the IAU OAE National Astronomy Education Coordinator for Cameroon, the IAU OAO National Outreach Coordinator for Cameroon, the West Africa Regional Office of Astronomy for Development (WAROAD) Coordinator Cameroon, etc.
