Since ancient times, work has been considered not only a productive activity but also an essential means of providing dignity and self-esteem to individuals. Through work, people find not only means of sustenance but also a source of identity, purpose, and personal fulfillment. However, in many contexts, the absence of state intervention has allowed the persistence of labor exploitation conditions resembling slavery. The lack of adequate regulations and the ineffective enforcement of labor laws have contributed to the exploitation of workers in situations of economic and social vulnerability. In many cases, these workers are subjected to degrading working conditions, unfair wages, and human rights violations. Furthermore, the lack of legal and social protection leaves these workers even more vulnerable to exploitation by unscrupulous employers. It is important to emphasize that this situation not only affects the individuals directly involved but also has significant ramifications for society as a whole. The perpetuation of labor exploitation undermines fundamental values of justice, equity, and human dignity, undercutting efforts to build more inclusive and fair societies, and this is what this project aims to analyze. The methodology used was based on a multidisciplinary approach along with a review of specialized literature.
