The Brazilian Congress of Endodontics – COBE 2026 is the official Endodontics event in Brazil, organized by SBEndo, and it arrives in Belo Horizonte with a truly innovative proposal. More than just a congress, COBE 2026 will be a major meeting point for the endodontic community, connecting professors, clinicians, researchers, students, and industry in a scientific and social experience unlike anything seen before in the country.

The scientific program has been carefully designed to combine high technical level with interactive dynamics:
– International lectures featuring leading names in global Endodontics, all with simultaneous translation;
– Interactive round tables, focused on critical discussion of key topics and clinical decision-making;

14h00 - Felipe Restrepo Tooth Autotransplantation Lecture International Session

  • Thooth autotransplantation is defined as the surgical movement of a tooth from one alveolar socket to another, either after extraction or by surgically preparing the recipient site in the same patient.
  • It is a viable option to replace lost teeth or poor prognosis teeth. Thus, both function and preservation of the alveolar bone crest is maintained.
  • Its success is associated with healing of the PDL and pulp tissue, absence of root resorption, soft tissue healing, and radicular formation.
16h00 - Anibal Diogenes The Clinical Relevance of Neuroscience in Pulpal and Periapical Disease Lecture International Session

  • New evidence is challenging traditional concepts of pulpal nociception, the role of nociceptors in homeostasis, and their responses to injury.
  • It is increasingly clear that nociceptors perform functions beyond pain perception through complex communication with cells of the pulp–dentin complex and the periodontium.
  • Pulpal injury and endodontic infection trigger marked changes in neuronal phenotype (neural plasticity).
  • These neuronal changes may explain key clinical challenges, including anesthetic difficulty and intraoperative pain, postoperative pain, and persistent symptoms even after technically adequate endodontic treatment.
  • This lecture will review current and emerging knowledge in dental neurophysiology, present new mechanistic evidence, and highlight its translational relevance for pain management in Endodontics.
