The meeting will be held in person on September 26-28, 2024 at Insper - São Paulo.

The objective of the 5th Meeting of the Society of Family and Gender Economics is to bring together researchers, public policymakers, students, and those with a general interest in family and gender topics, to engage in discussions and gain knowledge about ongoing research in Brazil and other countries.

Calendar:

Submissions deadline: May 12th (11:59 pm UTC-3 Brasília Time).

Notification of acceptance: July 1st (new!).

Guidelines for submission:

1. We will accept papers that address Family and Gender Economics themes: household models, marriage and divorce, household decisions (time allocation, human capital, labor supply, consumption, savings, health, fertility, parenting, etc.), labor market and gender, domestic violence, gender gaps, income, gender and race inequalities, demographic economics, women-led firms, female entrepreneurship, care economy, gender roles and social norms, among others;

2. Each presenter will also serve as a discussant for another paper;

3. Each paper must be registered using the online form available on this page. Papers should be submitted in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, either in Portuguese or English, and can be any length;

4. Extended abstract submissions are welcomed exclusively for candidates interested in poster sessions;

5. We will only allow one submission per author. However, there are no restrictions on the participation of authors in more than one paper as co-authors;

6. No submission fee is required; however, authors are responsible for covering the subscription fee for the Meeting upon paper acceptance notification;

7. All presentations will be in person; you can choose between a poster and an oral presentation (in English or Portuguese);

8. Payments for foreign registrations will be accepted exclusively through the PayPal platform;

9. We will draw one Stata license for all undergraduate and postgraduate students attending the event on Saturday;

Registration:

The registration fee includes participation in the Congress, lunch for three days of the event, and the party.

O congresso será realizado presencialmente entre os dias 26 e 28 de setembro de 2024, no Insper - São Paulo.

O objetivo do 5º Encontro da Sociedade de Economia da Família e Gênero é reunir pesquisadores, formuladores de políticas públicas, estudantes e interessados em geral em questões relacionadas à família e gênero, para participar de discussões e adquirir conhecimento sobre pesquisas em andamento no Brasil e em outros países.

Cronograma:

Prazo para envio de artigos: 12 de maio(23:59 UTC-3 horário de Brasília).

Notificação de aceite: 01 de julho (nova data!).

Regras de submissão:

1. Serão aceitos artigos que abordam temáticas de Economia da Família e do Gênero, tais como: modelos de família, casamentos e divórcios, decisões familiares (alocação de tempo, capital humano, oferta de trabalho, consumo, poupança, saúde, fertilidade, criação de filhos, etc.), mercado de trabalho e gênero, violência doméstica, desigualdades de gênero, renda, desigualdades de gênero e raça, economia demográfica, empresas lideradas por mulheres, empreendedorismo feminino, economia do cuidado, papéis de gênero e normas sociais, entre outros;

2. Cada apresentador também atuará como debatedor de outro artigo;

3. Cada artigo deve ser registrado usando o formulário online disponível nesta página. Os artigos devem ser submetidos em formato Adobe Acrobat (PDF), em português ou inglês, sem limite de tamanho;

4. Submissões de resumos estendidos serão admitidas exclusivamente para sessões de pôster;

5. Permitiremos apenas uma submissão por autor. No entanto, não há restrições à participação de autores em mais de um artigo como coautores;

6. Não há taxas de submissão de artigos, no entanto, cada apresentador de artigo aceito deverá efetuar o pagamento de inscrição no evento (após a notificação de aceite);

7. As apresentações de artigos serão presenciais e você poderá escolher entre pôster ou apresentação oral (em Inglês ou Português);

8. Pagamentos de inscrições estrangeiras serão aceitos exclusivamente através da plataforma PayPal;

9. Sortearemos uma licença Stata para todos os alunos de graduação e pós-graduação que participarem do evento no sábado;
