The electricity sector is transforming around the world, with renewable energy sources playing a larger role as distributed power generation and small, decentralized facilities spread. These changes bring new challenges to the system operation. Dealing with intermittency, surrounding ramps, constrained-off situations, among other issues that are making the network more complex and unstable.
To discuss the importance of the electrical system safety and resilience, Brazilian Association of Thermoelectric Generation (ABRAGET) invites all professionals from this field to the 2021 Internatinal Webinar: "Power Systems Transition and the Changes in the Generation Mix: Minimizing the Greenhouse Gas Emissions ensuring System Safety, Suitability, Controllable Reserve and Resilience”.
The webinar aims to promote a qualified debate on the best technical and economic alternatives for minimizing the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG) with the guarantee of safety, adequacy, controllable reserve and resilience for the system, considering a long-term vision. International experiences from Europe, the United States, Asia, Australia and South America will be presented and discussed by internationally relevant guests, who bring their impressions and knowledge to analyze the national reality.
** The conferences will be transmited in English**
