Econometrics in Rio 2024: Integrating Theory and Practice in Econometrics

FGV EPGE and UCL CeMMAP are pleased to announce that the fifth edition of the Econometrics in Rio conference will take place at FGV Rio on June 20 and 21, 2024, and the sixth edition will be held on August 15 and 16, 2024. Econometrics in Rio will offer approximately 12-15 seminars per edition in theoretical and applied econometrics, covering applications in micro and macroeconomics, finance, and data science/machine learning. This conference provides a unique platform to explore the interplay between econometric and statistical theory and their applications to various estimation problems in economics and finance.

Please note that the main auditorium has a limited capacity of 55 seats. In case of excess capacity, an auxiliary auditorium with simultaneous transmission will be available.

Funding Opportunities

• Funding is available for attendees from outside Rio de Janeiro, with a total equivalent to 44 daily allowances of 320 BRL each.
• Interested participants are encouraged to apply for financial assistance during the conference registration process.
