Course structure: In this practical mini course in computer vision for beginners, you will be introduced to approaches used to solve the task of pattern recognition in images, visualizing the challenges encountered, applications and subdivisions of recognition in computer vision. During the course we will analyze and process images with a practical implementation using Python, written in a Jupyter Notebook. First, we'll look at image properties and explore the different image processing commands. After learning the basics, we'll go through some object identification exercises in images. Prerequisites: It is recommended to have a basic knowledge of the Python programming language.

Target Audience: Students and professionals from any field of knowledge, interested in computer vision.
