X SIINTEC / LACW 2024

The 10th SIINTEC INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM (SIINTEC) will be held from October 22 to 26, 2024, at SENAI CIMATEC in Salvador, Bahia. This year's edition is a special celebration, as it is ten years of an event that attracts more enthusiasts every year. Its purpose is to facilitate the sharing of information, experiences and practical examples between professionals, companies, industries and students from different areas of knowledge.

This initiative aims to improve and disseminate the country's scientific and technological progress, promoting understanding of SIINTEC 2024's theme, "Innovation and Global Transformations for a Sustainable World". The need to develop and implement innovative solutions in response to global challenges is crucial, with the aim of creating a more sustainable world. It will take place over a three-day period, through academic, scientific and technological events, which will include lectures, round tables and exhibitions of research conducted by researchers from both national and international institutions. These presentations will take place in oral and poster format.

And this year, we'll be bringing back a festivity that's better known in the northeast of Bahia, our X SIINTEC Lavagem*, the FurdunTEC.

The precise meaning of Lavagem* in celebratory contexts will depend on the cultural, religious or specific context of the event in question. Generally, it is a symbolic practice that has specific meanings associated with the celebration.
